APHANZ’s Blueprint for Rapid Change is a key part of our ongoing advocacy to ensure improvements to the regulatory approval process from recommendations made in the the Ministry for Regulation review.

The Blueprint outlines three practical actions regulators can take now—without legislative reform:

  • A specialist taskforce to clear applications for new active ingredients.
  • Smarter use of international data and harmonisation tools.
  • Co-designed, risk-based solutions through meaningful engagement with industry.

We’ll be using the blueprint to closely monitor progress made by regulators to deliver the outcome that government and our members are calling for—an “improved proportionality, efficiency, transparency and certainty of the approval path.”
